He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swenson and Mabel Swenson (Bengtson); his wives, Phyllis Anderson and Betty Krause (Manthei); and his siblings, Floyd "Bud" Swenson, Peggy Kriese and Ronald "Sonny" Swenson.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Swenson (Terri) of Willmar, Kent Swenson (Jennifer) of Fredericksburg, VA, Ryan Swenson (Cindy) of Minneapolis and Corey Swenson (Lori) of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Shaundel Hanson (Travis), Cameron Swenson (Aimie), Arianna Swenson, Isabella Swenson, Ryan Swenson and Hannah Swenson; and his great grandchildren, Zach, Izaiah, Kylie Rudolph, Kage Hanson and Anders Swenson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Svea Lutheran Church (12651 15th St SE, Blomkest, MN 56216). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Svea Lutheran Cemetery.
