He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Nordquist and Mae Nordquist (Hansen); his parents-in-law, Ervin and Mildred Kutzbach; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Winter and Marjorie Scott (Kutzbach); and his half-siblings, Roy Carlson, Norman, Dorthey Botcher, Hazel Bogard Schmitz and Lois Kasube Kruger.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Avis Morfitt (Kutzbach); his sons, Carl Nordquist, Jr. (Mary) and Kevin Nordquist (Elizabeth); and his stepchildren, Donald Morfitt, Jr. (Mary), Denise Nichols (Anthony-Tony), Dawn Beighley (Warren-Craig) and Terry Morfitt (Pamela). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior (1157 3rd Ave, Windom, MN 56101). A memorial service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
