He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Gile; his son William "Bill"; his grandson Logan; and his sisters, Dorothy, Phyllis and Geneva.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Jean "Cookie" Hefte (Eric), Peggy Ann Gile, Greg Gile (Tracy) and Bert N. Gile (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Erica Jacobson (Kevin), Kirsten Hefte (Joel), Laurie McVean (Tim), Julie and Lindie Falk; his children, Isabelle, Brady, Gregg Gile, Christina Wilkins and Autumn Gile; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Jermiah Jacobson, Wyatt, Adelle Anacabe, Lorelei, Elliot Wilkins and Jackson Gile McVean; and his sisters, June Tesch and Donna Celius.
