Carolyn Kay Goplen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Kay Goplen of Winona, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Halvorsen and Vera Halvorsen (Petcoff); her husband Dennis Goplen of Wayfarer's Chapel; and her son-in-law Scott Becker. She is survived by: her children, Anita Smith (Roger), Barbara Becker and John Goplen; her grandchildren, Lydia Smith, Thora Smith, Chelsea Taylor (Daryl), Phillip Becker, Samatha Becker (Ethan Kruger) and Jacob Becker; her great grandchildren, Everlynn, Josephine and Jazlynn; and her sister Marilyn Stellavera. She is also survived by cousins; sisters/brothers-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Winona Area Public Schools Foundation or the Winona County Historical Society.
