He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Green (Tillman) and Doyle Green; his brothers, Allen and Everett Leo; his former wife Lucille "Lucy" Glomski; his wife Dorothy Heeren; his stepson Carl Muller; and his granddaughter Melissa Kay Wiest.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, James Butler of Goodview, MN, Allen Butler (Tracey Bowers) of Siren, WI, Donna Heeren-Sandoval (Greg) of Las Vegas, NV, Alan Heeren (Annett) of Huron, SD and Lisa Howard (Vince) of Rollingstone, MN; Genell, Kathleen and Clarine. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
