He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Smith and Ravanna Smith (Mrozek); his siblings, Ron Smith and Shirley; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Dingfelder, Jerry Barum and Gary Dondlinger.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, David M. Smith (Tara), Crystal Paffrath (Ted Rice) and Patrick Smith; his grandchildren, Chris Gierok, Matt Gierok, Allison Boelter, Logan Smith, Jordan Klatt and Maddy Smith; his brother Keith Smith (Tammy); and his siblings-in-law, Gene Barum, Cindy Ehlers (John) and Joyce Dondlinger. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
