With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Grotjahn (Winona, Minnesota), who passed away on May 10, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ziemer and Lila Ziemer (Voss); her husband LaVerne Grotjahn; her children, Ron 'Mouse Grotjahn and Betty Grotjahn; her siblings, Lawrence Ziemer, Lillian Adams and Bill Ziemer; her half-sister Florence Raemer; her great grandchildren, Memphis and Lucas; and her son-in-law Bill Trainor.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Trainor of Red Wing, Shirley Neumann (John) of Independence, WI, Randy (Tammy) of Winona and Richard of Winona. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.
