With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jon Bitu (Winona, Minnesota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As Jon departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jon. Though Jon may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife LaVonne Bitu; and his siblings, Victor, Jenus and Vanita. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Bitu (Anne) and Kirk Bitu.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the American Legion Post 9 (302 E Sarnia St, Winona, MN 55987).
The family kindly suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials may be directed to the Winona Area Humane Society.
