He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Redig and Magdalena Redig (Leyendecker); his siblings, Roger Redig and Phyllis McNally; and his siblings-in-law, Leo Liebsch, Bob McNally, Larry Welter, Ray Welter and Florence Redig.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Welter; his children, Kevin Redig (Terri) and Vicky Petersen (Mike); his grandchildren, David Redig, Jessi Muras (Dave), Jamie Griffin (McKay), Keagen Petersen and Elle Petersen; his great grandchildren, Connor, Landon, Gavin, Kinsley Muras and Peyton Griffin; his brother James Redig (Margaret); and his nephew Dean Blumentritt. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces.
