Richard left this world on October 18, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred E. Burmeister and Leona I. Burmeister; and his brother Ralph. He is survived by: his wife Arleen M. Werre of Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church; and his sons, Paul, Andrew, Joel, Nathan and Aaron. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church (38 N Hill St, Fountain City, WI 54629). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
