It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne E. Hamernik of Winona, Minnesota, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Hamernik and Anna Hamernik (Drugan); and his siblings, Joseph, Theresa, Vivian and William.

He is survived by : his wife Joan M. Fischer; his children, Kathryn Hamernik (Tim Walters), Michael Hamernik (Nancy) and Patricia Hamernik; his grandchildren, Michael Padgett (Nicole) and Connie Gollnick (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Evan, Gabby and Zoie Padgett; and his grandchildren, Mavryk and Charlotte Gollnick.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorials be directed to Winona Health Hospice Services, or to a charity of choice.
