With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donna Mae (Yager) Kappel of Winsted, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Yager and Fern Yager (Wolfsteller); her brother Glen Yager (Jean); and her siblings-in-law, Victor Erickson, Fran Kappel, Marvin Kappel, Gilbert Kappel, Leo Kulinski and Delores Schweiger (John).
She is survived by: her husband Gervase Kappel; her daughters, Linda Engelke (Tom) and Sally Engen (Kevin Weinzierl); her grandchildren, Chase Engelke, Leighton Buhr (Annella Lammers), Harrison Engen, Tyler Engen and Dustin Engen; her siblings, Violet Erickson, Ted and Dave Yager; her sisters-in-law, Carol Kappel and Glorian Kappel; and also Jeff Engen. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Chilson Funeral Home (200 Fairlawn Ave W, Winsted, MN 55395). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Lutheran Church - Howard Lake (1000 7th Ave, Howard Lake, MN 55349).
