He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bauer and Esther Bauer (Hoecke); his wife Lucille Bauer; his son Joel Bauer; his parents-in-law, Ted and Emma Borchert; his brother Ken Bauer; and his brother-in-law LuVerne Borchert (LaVerna).
He is survived by: his children, James Bauer (Ruth) of Winthrop, MN, Jennifer O'Connor of Winthrop, MN, Jacqueline Huelskamp and Jon Rutkowski of Boerne, TX; his grandchildren, Travis Bauer (Heather), Tim Bauer (Sandy), Myranda Bauer, Stephanie Valerius (Dan), Megan Yrjo (Mark), Nick Huelskamp (Caity), Justin Huelskamp (Maddie), Joshua Huelskamp, Tricia Soeffker (Mitchell) and Katie (Jesse); his great grandchildren, Allison (Joe), Taylor Bauer, Audrey, Marcus, Marissa Bauer, Hailey, Harper Valerius, Kaison Yrjo, Parker, Addison, Emmalyn, Gwendolyn Huelskamp, Layton, Megan Hamre, Lane Wingen, Brayden Wojahn, Rowan and Lawson; his sisters, Marge Kloeckl (Tony) of Arlington, MN and Arlene Blood of San Diego, CA; and his sister-in-law Jane Bauer. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
