With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Andre Nelson (Woodbury, Minnesota), who passed away on January 20, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan (Andre); his parents, Russell and Eleanor; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Mathieson, Joyce Nelson and Jim Snustad.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his daughters, Jennifer Buchholz (Kurt) and Renee Nelson; his granddaughters, Linnea Hopper (Nathan) and Rebekah Black (Micah); his great grandchild Callen Hopper; and his siblings, Cherrie Mathieson and Daryl Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Global Health Ministries, Lutheran Hour Ministries or the Salvation Army.
