He was predeceased by: his siblings, Timothy and Angela Ervin. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Matthias (Walsh); his children, Therese Scherbel (Karl) and Mark; and his grandchildren, Aura and Jocelyn Scherbel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
