He is survived by: his children, Debra Schutz (Randy), John Jr. (Kathy), Teri Timm (Jay), Paul (Carmen) and Kris Schank (Jim); his grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, John III (Erin), Jackie (Matt), Sarah (Kyle), Alex (Ashley), Tom (Erin), Christian (Patience), Erin, Nicole (Adam) and Dalton (Laura); and his great grandchildren, Evalyn, Taylor, Brody, Owen, Addy, Lincoln, Charlotte, Shiloh, Carmen, Lucas, Rowan, Kaia, Levi, Amelia and Elias.
