Robert Lester Benson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lester Benson of Woodbury, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 11, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Benson and Ruby Benson; his stepmother Lila; his siblings, Donna Mae McNair, Milner and Harold; his sisters-in-law, Eleanor and Shirley; and his stepsiblings, Jim Vedder and Marge Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Mayonne; and his children, Christopher Benson (Cyndy), Stephanie Hinrichs (Greg), Jennifer Achterling (George) and Robert Benson Jr. (Katie). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
