He was predeceased by: his parents, Al and Margaret; his son-in-law Mike Christianson; his brothers, Jerry and Lowell; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda and Don Basche.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Schissel (Lang); his children, Mike Schissel (Becky) and Lisa Christianson (late Mike); and his granddaughters, Amanda and Andrea. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and all of the family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home (1225 Ryan's Rd, Worthington, MN 56187). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1215 7th Ave, Worthington, MN 56187).
