It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVonne Frances Thurmer of Worthington, Minnesota, who passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Niels Johnsen and Gertrude Johnsen (Christophel); her husband Elmer; her son Michael (Andrea); her former life partner Marvin Bicknese; her brothers, Lynn Johnsen and Clayton Johnsen; her sister-in-law Helen Johnsen; and her close friend Willard Simon.

She is survived by : her children, Kenneth Thurmer, Curt Thurmer, Barbara Mickelson (John) and Deborah "Debbie" Thompson (Dick); her brother Ralph Johnsen (Gwen); and her sister-in-law Maxine Johnsen. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1000 Prospect Ln, Jackson, MN 56143). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
