With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Thorson of Zimmerman, Minnesota, born in Big Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Alice find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunnar Anderson and Nina Anderson (Syverson); her son Christopher; and her sister Elaine Fink. She is survived by: her husband Robert Thorson (Bob); her children, Jeff (Karen), Annette Odegard (Lonnie), Karen Knoll (Scott), Greg (Ana) and Phil (Robin); her sister LaVerne; and her foster sister Arlene. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church (26498 180th St, Big Lake, MN 55309). A memorial service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
