He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Louis Tillman and Marie Agnes Tillman (Slattery); his wife Susie; and his half-sister Katherine Buonocore. He is survived by: his daughter Christine Mason (Edward) of Fort Myers, FL; his stepbrother Kenneth Stern of Fallbrook, CA; and his caregiver Holly Bredehoeft.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (310 Waverly Ave, Alma, MO 64001). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Patriot Cruise and Salute (for veterans and their caregivers) in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
