With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nelson G. Simpson (Alton, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Simpson and Ella Simpson (Blankenship); his wife Shirley Simpson (Combs); his sisters, Linda (Claude Doss) and Louella (Ralph Cox); and his stepgrandson Jason Combs.
He is survived by: his son Lewis (Sher); his grandson Tyler; his great grandchildren, Hayleigh and Carleigh; his son Daryl (Marianne); his granddaughters, Katie and Caroline; his stepson Andrew Combs (Debra); and his great grandchildren, Robert Combs (Louie), Anthony Combs (Fran) and Jubal Combs Combs (Cheri). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
