With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hester Charlene Hess of Amazonia, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2026 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Enos Smither and Grace Smither; her husband Franklin D. Hess; her children, Shelia and Craig; and her siblings, Betty June Parker and Harlan Smither.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Hess Sr. (Christina) of Amazonia and Tim Hess (Pam) of Cape Coral, Florida.; and her grandchildren, Steve Hess Jr. (Tabatha) of Plattsburg, Missouri, Shannon Hess (Jennifer) of Amazonia, Missouri, Sharlene McMillian (Jimmy) of Plattsburg, Missouri and Seth Hess (Amber) of Amazonia, Missouri.. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.
