She was predeceased by: her parent Gene John Jackie; her brother Roger Thornton; and her aunt Kay Mears. She is survived by: her mother Clara Jean Mears Thornton of Amoret, Missouri; her son Robert Micheal "Mike" Matthews (Jody) of Nixa, Missouri; her grandson Hayden Matthews of Nixa, Missouri; her sister Renee Phillips of Amoret, Missouri; and her aunt Sue Cyrus of Rich Hill, Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Benjamin Cemetery.
