We announce the death of Melvin Elmer Young of Anabel, Missouri, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 71. Melvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Young and Aline Young; his wife Elizabeth Ann Young; and his brother Michael Young. He is survived by: his children, Crystal Renee Green (Karl) of Anabel, MO and Melvin Young II (Cassie) of Macon, MO; his grandchildren, Destin Green, Eternity Green, Owen Young, Avery Young, Emerson Young and Isla Young; his great grandchildren, Destiny Green, ChevAnna Green, ErraBella Rankin, Grayson Craigmyle and Harrison Craigmyle; and his brother Richard Young (Yvonne) of Atlanta, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family suggests memorials to the Macon County Food Pantry or the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
