He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Annette Thompson of Weir, Kansas; his former wife Nora Thompson; his son Jimmy Jo Thompson; his siblings, Paul Thompson of Grove, Jack Thompson of Riverside, Lanora Nutt of Pittsburg, Florence Cook of Columbus, Ron, Poplar Bluff and Hazel Buck of Carthage, MO; and his granddaughters, Alicia Wisdom and Hannah Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Thompson of Laverne's Chapel; his stepson Don Wisdom of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Mara Hall of Donovan and Donald Raymer of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; his great grandchild Roselyn Wisdom of Williamsville, Missouri.; his friend Lamar Townes of Tulsa, OK.; and his nephews, Frankie Thompson of Granby, Bill Thompson of Neosho, David Sinclair of Columbus, Jackie Thompson of Riverside and Mark Thompson of Florida.
