He was predeceased by: his close friend Nancy Charles Lewis; his son John Paul Lewis; and his sister Linda Wilkinson. He is survived by: his son Philip Alan Lewis (Nancy) of Rogers, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Lewis of Mountain Home and Cari Lewis of Dallas, Texas; his caregiver Bertha Haddock of Anderson, Missouri; and his friend Paul.
Memorial contributions in loving memory of Paul may be given to the First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, Arkansas or the McDonald County Historical Society in care of the funeral home.
