He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Stephanie Piper; his children, Amy Waterman (Travis), Laura Wielenga (Brent), William Minor (Crystal) and Kevin Minor Jr.; his stepchildren, Justin Piper (Rebecca), Jennifer Stephens (Dustin) and Julie Drake (Larry); and his siblings, Dennis Minor, Lynn Barton (Don) and Rita. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 6 step-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren.
