He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Glenwood Adams and Cora Pauline Harmon Adams; his son Danny Lee Adams; his brothers, Charles Edward Adams and Tommy Dale Adams; and his grandson Derek Barney (Carolyn Ruth Polson).

He is survived by: his children, Jerry Wayne Adams, Jr. (Sharon), Robert Dean Adams (Vicki), Tammy Gay Chandler, Jacqueline Forsee (Eddie) and Scarlett Rachel Adams; his siblings, Benny Lee Adams, Glenda Kay Madaus and Lora Karen Elliot; Arletha, Lee and Parker.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Foundation Fighting Blindness (formerly the National Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation) or Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association.
