He was predeceased by: his fathers, Lloyd Black and Lyle Black (Parsons); his wife Joanne Deardorff (Rooks); and his siblings, Clayton, Dale Black and Nancy Jurgensen.

He is survived by: his children, Karen Clymer (Mark), Pat Perkins (Bruce), Ken Black (Sherry), Kathy Mock (Loren) and Scott Black (Lori); the mother of his children Marilyn; his stepchildren, Dale Deardorff and Don Deardorff; his grandchildren, Eric Clymer (Cally), Brian Clymer (Regan), Kelsey Budd, Kyle Black (Jacquie), Garrett Mould, Keegen Mould (Amy), Graham Black, Holden Black, David, Dean'a Deardorff and Taylor Deardorff; and his great grandchildren, Macie, Palmer, Allie, Velocity and Stella. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
