He was predeceased by : his parents, James "Mert" Joel and Margaret Joel (Mortensen); his daughter Ora Lea Joel; his wife Marjorie; his daughter Peggy Henning (Gary); and his siblings, Jimmy Joel, Hugh Joel, Margaret Jane Weber and Debbie Edwards.
He is survived by : his children, Karla Stolte (Neil), Rodney Joel (Amy) and Terrie Haloupek (Tom); his grandchildren, Sarai Fugett (Casey), Ashly Johnson (JR), Kelsey Joel (Thomas Rieth), Danielle Henning, Heather Haloupek, Haley Joel, Janel Haloupek and Keller Haloupek; his great grandchildren, Arabella, Tytus and Zander; and his sisters, Carolyn Smith, Doreen Agee, Lois Weems, Patricia Baker and Joanna Kenyon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
