He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo "Jack" Mills and Daisy Mills (VanHoose); his wife Hazel Mills; his daughter Sherry Lee Giles; and his siblings, Norma VanZee, Gilbert Mills and Larry Mills.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shelly Jones (Ross) of Travelers Rest, SC and Lisa Berry (Richard) of Atlanta, MO; his grandchildren, Tiffany Winstead, Aurora Winstead and Kirste Rattray (Ethan); his great grandchildren, Helen Rattray, Valerie Rattray and Hart Rattray; his grandchildren, Audra Newcomer, Lee Newcomer (Cassie), Alex Pipes, Jasmine Pipes, Arthur Addie (Lane), Daytona Newcomer, Gabby Chance (Josh) and Atlas Vantiger; his brothers, Frank Mills (Nancy) of Atlanta, MO, Denny Mills (Dee) of Huntington, IN and Randy Mills (Garla) of Stahl, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Mills of Drums, PA and Laurie Mills of Mason City, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elliott Funeral Home (103 Main St, Atlanta, MO 63530). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery (1479 County Rd 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260).
The family suggests memorials to the Adair County Animal Shelter.
