He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Earl Shortt, Sr. and Helen Virginia Shortt; his sons, Harvey Thomas Shortt and Michael Monroe Shortt; his sons-in-law, Keith Maune, Paul Meinershagen and Paul Harvey; and his siblings, Ruben, Barbara, Loretta and Betty.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Shortt; his daughters, Helen Kaye Disano (James), Cheryl Ann Maune, Donna Sue Meinershagen, Vicki Lynn Leesmann (Marvin), Velma Louise Porter (Keven), Ruby Annette Kleekamp and Monika Coe Shortt; and his siblings, Danny Shortt, David Shortt (Sheila), Gary Shortt (Tina), Velma Miller, Ruby Yust (Dan), Paula Leesmann (Lester) and Jane Struckhoff (Ron). He is also survived by his wife, his children and his 22 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer United Church of Christ (5538 Walnut St, Augusta, MO 63332).
