He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Emil and Mildred Lee DePriest (Lawson); his brother Jackie DePriest; his grandson Brandon Cox; his daughter-in-law Enisa DePriest; and his stepson Jerry Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Marivel Nunez; his children, Joe DePriest of Verona, Missouri, Jennifer Yeager (Doug) of Sparta, Jackie Kenyon (Richard) of Monett and Jane DePriest of Springfield, Missouri; his stepchildren, John Bowman (Sandra) of Crane, Missouri, Omar, Leobardo and Carmen Garcia; and his sister Norma Jean Drisdoll (Rex) of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
