It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gale Leonard Pate Jr. of Aurora, Missouri, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Gale Leonard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gale Leonard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Pate, and Flo Dale Pate, Sr. (Whisler); his daughter Janice McKee; and his sister Shirley Munday (Pat). He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Schillinger (Howard) of Bluffton and Linda Stewart (Randy) of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maple Park Cemetery (2 W Prospect St, Aurora, MO 65605).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Aurora United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
