He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Sanders and Inez Sanders (Henry); and his brothers, Marion and Max Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; and his children, David Sanders (Christy) of Republic, MO., Jim Sanders (Roxanne) of Cedar Falls, IA., Justin Sanders of Aurora, MO., Patricia Loomis (David) and Angela Wilson (Herman) of Aurora, MO.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Peterson Funeral Chapel (229 W Church St, Aurora, MO 65605). The military honors was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
