Sue touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Sue’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Wimmer and Lou Wimmer; and her siblings, Nancy Ensell, Eileen McCoy and David Wimmer.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Eckels; and her children, Melanie Selvey (Tim), Paul Eckels (Dianne) and Dan Eckels (Nancy). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Southside Baptist Church (412 W Hadley St, Aurora, MO 65605).
