He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Donald and Reta Frances Watterson (Hamby); his grandfather Rev. Ernest Hamby; his wife Gaytha Lakey; and his children, Angela, Faira Watterson Spindle, Lance and Justin Watterson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brooke, Shawn Elwood, Tyler, Levie Watterson, Trevor Watterson, MaKenzie Watterson and Takoma (Destiny Dobbs); his great grandchildren, Jayce, Casten, Brax, Myra James Elwood and Thomas Watterson; and his siblings, Bob, Wilda Watterson, Johnny, Carol Sue Watterson, Brenda and Jack Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces; nephews; extended family and numerous friends.
