It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Hayes Burrington (Ava, Missouri), who passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Frances Burrington and Gertrude Burrington; his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Jim, Charles, Nellie, Barb and Doris.
He is survived by: his sons, Patrick Burrington (Wendy) of Stevensville, MT and Michael Burrington (Terri) of Dallas, GA; his granddaughter Hailey (Sim) of Lynchburg, VA; his daughter-in-law Nikki of Lynchburg, VA; his stepdaughters, Jane Bolstad (Lance) and Louise Ramey (Ted); his siblings, Roger Burrington (Theresa) of Emerson, IA and Dottie L'Heureux of Red Oak, IA; and his pet George. He is also survived by father to his two boys, a loving grandfather, a loyal friend.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home (407 N Mansfield Rd, Ava, MO 65608). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at the Troy Herd American Legion #112.
