He was predeceased by: his brother Frank Harnacker; and his parents, Jacob Harnacker and Barbara Harnacker. He is survived by: his wife Linda Harnacker; his children, Colleen Phillips-Caton (Robert) and Kenneth Phillips (Dana); his grandchildren, Carissa Caton-Wagner (Kyle), Ashley Caton-Nungester (Brett), Kade Phillips and Ryn Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Jace, Kit and Calvin.
