He was predeceased by: his grandchild Ashley Dietzler (Tommy); his sister Debbie Miller (Henry); and his parents, William Kidd and Naomi Kidd. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kidd; his children, Ricky Kidd and Tricia Kidd (Bennie Jackson); his grandsons, Tyler Kidd, Richard Kidd and Aaron Kidd (Kiana Mullins); his great grandchildren, Cole Lause, Aaron Kidd Jr., MacKenzie Dietzler, Adrian Kidd, Aiden Kidd, Richard Kidd Jr., Ri'Kiyah Kidd and Grayson Kidd; and his brother-in-law Don Powers.
