He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Wrye and Dollie Wrye (Vernon); and his siblings, Duane Wrye, Erma Stark (Wrye), Norma Jackson (Wrye) and Sharon Johnson (Wrye).
He is survived by: his former wife Evelyn Maurine Taylor; his sons, Gary Wrye (Erma) of Mexico, MO and Larrry Wrye (Kathy) of Eldon; his wife Helen Margaret Riffle; and his grandchildren, Melinda Wrye-Washington (John Welty), Teresa McKenzie (Kirby), Amanda Byrd (Jeff), Kellie Atkins (David) and Brian Wrye. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
