He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil R. Franklin and Edith Franklin (Woods); and his brothers, Cecil Franklin, Gary Franklin and Larry Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Franklin of Bates City, MO; his children, Brian Franklin of Kansas City, MO and Tammy Smith (Skip) of Bates City, MO; his grandchildren, Katelynn Pahopin (Zach) of Grain Valley, MO, Crayton Smith (Alexis) of Lee's Summit, MO, Olivia and Maya; and his great grandchildren, Lucy Pahopin and Evelynn Pahopin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
