He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Sr. Gutierrez and Saulia Gutierrez (Angel); his wife Marcela Equez; and his siblings, Alberto Gutierrez, Carlos Gutierrez Jr. and Amparo Ordonez.
He is survived by: his children, David Gutierrez (Toni) of Bates City, MO, Pablo "Paul" Gutierrez (Kelly) of Oak Grove, MO, Carlos Gutierrez of Bakersfield, Mario Gutierrez of Blue Springs, MO, Herbert Gutierrez III (Tanara) of Blue Springs, MO, Alex Gutierrez (Cecilia) of Los Angeles, CA and Sandra Frauenhoff (Frank); his siblings, Orlando Gutierrez of Lee's Summit, MO and Sonia Cardozo (Gonzalo) of Bogota Colombia; and his pet Chico. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. John LaLande Catholic Church (805 NW R D Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Meyers Funeral Chapel (1600 W Main St, Blue Springs, MO 64015).
