He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Fredolph Nelson and Gladys Nelson (Friestad); and his siblings, Earl Nelson and Olive Jacobson. He is survived by: his wife DyVonne; his sons, Brian Nelson of Waco, TX, Brett Nelson (Joan) of Lee's Summit, MO and Chad Nelson (Terri) of Republic, MO; his grandchildren, Dakota, Garrett, Murena, Thandi, Emma and Ellie; and his siblings, Dolores Kounovsky (Dick) of Longmont, CO, Gary Nelson and Joyce Mueller (Tom) of Jamestown, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
