He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Mitchell and Era Mitchell (Schwegler); his wife Wanda Vandgrifft; his grandson Troy Feeler; his siblings, Arnold Mitchell, Glayds Reed and Ronald Mitchell; and his son-in-law Morris Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Thelma Brown (Mike) of Linn, Gerald Mitchell (Norma) of Rolla and Karen Brown of Bland; and his grandchildren, Keith Brown (Karla) of Bland, Kristy Scheel (Kelley) of Blue Springs, Donnie Brown (Carissa) of Belle, Nikki Haslag (Tracy) of St. Clair, Gerry Mitchell (Susan) of St. James, Sheryl Mitchell (Eric) of Crawfordville, FL and Tyra Wiegers (Steve) of Owensville. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends.
