He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Ragsdale and Arkie Ragsdale (Motley); his wife Leona Ragsdale; his grandchild Jerimiah Bentley; and his sisters, Alice Brockway and Alma Rice.

He is survived by : his children, Thomas Ragsdale (Michelle) and Sheryll Bentley (James); his grandchildren, Sandra Sindeldecker (Jason), Jacob Bentley and Abigail Ragsdale; and his great grandchild Alexavier Sindeldecker.
