It is with sadness that the passing of William James Wyly of Belton, Missouri is shared. William, born on April 6, 1934, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
William will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor William by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. He was predeceased by: his former wife Bonnie L. Hanchett; his parents, William Henry and Virginia Wyly; his wife Dorothy Ellen Cooper; and his brother Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Richard (Linda), Diane McEwen and Pamela Carroll (Jim); and his brother Lyle (Sandy). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great children.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the McGilley & George Funeral Home (12913 Grandview Rd, Grandview, MO 64030).
