He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeno Halter (Sam) and Henrietta Halter (Schlosser). He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Schaefer; his children, Doug Halter (Lynette) of Jackson, MO, Ron Halter (Terri) of Jackson, MO, Ray Halter (Candie) of Benton, MO and Pam Beussink (David) of New Hamburg, MO; and his sisters, Mary Lou Bennett and Shirley Bucher. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel - Benton (100 N Winchester St, Benton, MO 63736). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Denis Catholic Church (135 N Winchester St, Benton, MO 63736).
