He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeno "Sam" Felter and Drusilla Felter (Scherer); and his grandson Dylan. He is survived by: his wife Janet Felter (Freeman); his children, Jennifer Gadberry (Russell) and John Adam Felter II (Brittany); his grandchildren, Morgan Gadberry, Berkleigh, Brekyn Felter and Jace Felter; his brothers, Sammy Felter (Jolene) and Mike Felter (Shari); his nieces and nephews, Douglas (Lauren), Derek (Kelly), Trent Felter (Brandi), Michelle Reynolds (Jimmy) and Laura Black (Austin); and his great-uncle Bob Scherer (Ann).
